Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it? Customer service on the phone had no clue and just gave some boiler plate response about how it would in the next 24 hours, which is not the case. I'd like to play VF5FS sometime this week!

A PS+ Card? The problem might be connected to the store you bought it from; maybe the cashier didn't activate it properly.

Did you hang on to your receipt? You might be able to get a replacement card or a refund/store credit.

Got the card sorted out. The goofball apparently swiped the card with a sticker wraped around the part of the card has the magnetic stripe on it. Now I'm activated and on PSN+, but when I try to sign back on it says I have to change my password. When I select ok, it says the service is unavailabe. Why is it saying the password needs to be changed if they won't let you do it? Will I be able to at least play VF5FS once the download is finished or will it keep me out because PSN will not let me sign in?

Good God, Sony.

I figured it was a checkout issue. Good work following that up.

I'm not sure why PSN won't let you log back in, though. They're not doing maintenance right now (I'm playing VF5 FS, like you're hoping to do). Has your e-mail or any other account info changed since you first signed up for PSN? I'll admit I'm just guessing here.
