Very surprised Germany didn't make it tonight, but Balotelli seems to be the only player at this tournament with the necessary balance of genius/nutcase to make something special happen without 575 passes being made in the build-up.

I hope he turns it on again tonight or we could be in for a very dull game.

How wrong was I? Spain were really quite excellent and deserved winners. Incredible when they open up and play with freedom, it's when they're cautiously trying not to lose than things get a bit dull for the neutral.

No Argentina? That's a big shame, since Beckham didn't make it the Olympic football needs a big-name draw to attract audiences and Messi could have been it.

Anyway, nobody really cares about the Olympics, there are only five weeks to go until the Premier League season starts again, and I'm confident the mighty Norwich City will be taking it by storm once again!
