I was slightly lifted by John Ruddy's inclusion in the squad (I'm a Norwich fan), but he's just withdrawn from the squad with a broken finger.

And as for that Durham video up there? Paid Trolling - right up there with Samantha Brick, Carole Malone and the rest, but I'd expect nothing less from TalkSh**e.

Yeah, I'm not too excited for it either. To be honest, international football in general has become quite boring for me.

Also, whilst the Euros arguably offer a better standard of football/more exciting competition, they don't really have the sense of occasion. In the World Cup, the South American and African countries bring colour to the tournament to give it some life. Maybe Ireland will bring colour to the Euros and make it a better event. Past them though, there isn't too many other countries that will create a party atmosphere.
