Great Podcast as always! Love all the baseball talk. Yes Glen you do need to visit target field, the stadium is beautiful. I own season tickets this year because I am guaranteed a seat at the 2014 all star game which is going to be held at target field. Also I think it’s hilarious that you have a problem with Illinois drivers in southern Wisconsin because I live in northwest Wisconsin and we have the same problem except with Minnesota drivers. We call them swampys up here. They always are taking over our local lakes on the weekend and they drive like maniacs. Maybe us Wisconsinites live life at a slower pace. Must be all the beer and cheese slowing us down.

Puppeteer looks amazing and is pretty fun. The demo is pretty short and surprisingly linear. Story is definitely not kid friendly, but the game-play is. I would advice anyone interested in this game to play it on a big screen television and lower the contrast. Even on low-resolution, component output display, the game is very bright. I look forward to a North American demo so that I can fully understand what it is about.

I don’t agree with the comment that Wii U sales will jump when big games come out. Most gamers aren’t that interested in Nintendo anymore. They’re getting boring. Why buy a Wii U if you can buy a PS4 for about $50 more?

Nintendo has a very loyal following. Their fans will buy a Wii U rather than pay $50 more for a PS4 because they don’t care about what the PS4 has to offer. They want the next Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Smash Brothers, etc. There are hardcore fans for every system who will only buy from either Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft, but not two of them and certainly not all three.

I’d argue that Nintendo actually has the most loyal following by far because they’ve been around the longest. Nostalgia is a powerful thing and a lot of them haven’t moved off of the Wii because the Wii U just doesn’t have the core games yet. When they finally hit, you’ll definitely see the sales of the console rise.

People have said Nintendo was dead many times in the past, then the core games arrive and everything is back to normal for them. Don’t underestimate Nintendo or their fanbase, remember that the 3DS was DOA and struggling for a year before they cut the price and the core titles hit, now it’s a monster.

I agree WiiU sales will pick up once Nintendo gets their big guns out. But I see WiiU being another Gamecube. Only good for Nintendo first party. Third party being dead. But most will own the WiiU and one other console for the third party.

I think Nintendo was thinking the WiiU would just be like the Wii. But with the bonus of capturing the hardcore.
