FuturLab signs deal with Sony to bring games to Vita

Today news comes to us the FuturLab creator of the award-winning minis title Velocity has signed a deal with Sony to bring games to Vita. FuturLab will keep control of their IP and Sony will fund the developer in order to get games out in 2013.

“We’re incredibly excited to be working closely with PlayStation over the next year, bringing our particular brand of twitchy fun to the PS Vita, said James Marsden, FuturLab’s Managing Director. “Sony has provided a great package that means we retain full control of our IP, which is a perfect deal for us.”

Senior BusinessĀ Development Manage at SCEE, Shahid Ahmad also added:

“We’re incredibly excited to be working closely with PlayStation over the next year, bringing our particular brand of twitchy fun to the PS Vita, said James Marsden, FuturLab’s Managing Director. “Sony has provided a great package that means we retain full control of our IP, which is a perfect deal for us.”

FuturLab just released a few PlayStation mobile games, so hopefully we will get some great content from this company on the Vita!
