City Interactive‘s Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has been pushed back until next year.

The sequel, which utilises CryEngine 3, has now suffered its third setback. With an original launch date of August 21st, Ghost Warrior 2 was further delayed until October 9th, before this latest target of January 15th 2013.

Although the original outing received a plethora of negative reviews from critics, it actually performed fairly well commercially – over 2 million copies were sold as of December 2011.
