New Counter-Strike receives official launch date and price

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the first game in the series to launch concurrently on PC and console, will be live on August 21st.

The PSN title was first announced just over a year before it’s release date, and has suffered a couple of delays throughout the early months of this year. Hopefully this date is now set in stone. Wisely, August completely avoids any of the big name FPS’, giving Global Offensive a fighting chance in the new world of online console shooters.

Valve‘s fourth Counter-Strike offering will cost a reasonable $15, which should persuade many a gamer to give it a try, even if they haven’t previously played it on PC.
