E3 2012: France gets big Vita price cut

Sony have today announced that France will be receiving a PS Vita price cut.

All purchasers of the new handheld between June 1st and July 15th, will be entitled to a rebate of €50 ($62). The reason obviously hasn’t been specified, but I’m guessing it’s due to underwhelming sales figures.

As of yet, no other regions have made the same move, but could we see something in the future? Perhaps Sony will use tonight’s E3 conference to announce a Vita price cut in the US. It may be unlikely, but the console manufacturer have now set a precedent, so we know an imminent price cut could be feasible.
