Nice canned response, I can tell you have to settle these disputes often. Did someone send you a link, or did you just stumble here? That's a rhetorical question, don't answer it. Hopefully this will make sense for you. I was trembling with laughter at the whole macho defensive stance your post took. What with the whole "you seem to misunderstand" nonsense and "drop the attitude bits. Classic.

Yeah, they're free to do write what they want. I'm free to not like it! Tough break, man. Maybe one day these idiots will actually grasp that sort of concept! I don't care whether you value my opinion or not, I'm just trying to convey that it's an opinion. I'm not trying to force facts down anyone's throat. (btw, you bring up a good point with the guidelines bit. That must explain why gaming journalism is in such a sad state)

If they want to have tons of bloated reviews all over their page, that's up to them. They've lost a reader, in that case. It's not like it's poorly written, there's no question the author is skilled with words.

As far as moving on goes, you're right. You're absolutely right. How dare anyone ever listen any of their readers. Any time I don't like something, I should just cancel it. I should just give up and move on. I should be another passive sheep, that's what you all want.

The author is known to troll people and post a lot of negative things. I find it surprising that I'm getting all this heat from simply posting tl;dr. It seems to me like this is yet another case of "internet tough guy" syndrome. Can dish it, but can't take it.

I'd love to be proven wrong, though. You know, show some humility for once. But no, you're too busy playing party to a simple tl;dr then you should probably man up. Is today the first day you've logged in to this "internet" or was the last time you used it back in 2005? I seriously can't remember the last time so many people got butthurt over something like this.

I also don't understand the misconception that I didn't actually read the article. Oh wait, it's cause I posted tl;dr. It's a jibe, man. Don't take it too literally. Unless, like, you take everything literally. You should probably get that checked out. But it's still true, IMO. Too long! Great article, but this is 2010. Get with the times.

One other thing, if my opinion is 'moot' then don't tease me with three paragraphs as if you care. If you're not going to listen to me or my opinion. Don't respond to me. Take your own advice, otherwise it just makes both of us look silly! Like a tango of trolls or some-such.

I'm still bemused by the whole thing that even though I tried to respectfully elaborate my opinion, people still can't seem to settle down. Guess it's not kosher to use commonly accepted internet jargon here, and that when you DO elaborate it's just treated like trash.

Whatever though, I'm done. I think I've said all I can say. If you guys want to be adults and actually take some criticism, then that's cool. If you still think this is some trollfest '98, then you're just going to be talking to a wall.

You seem to misunderstand the concept of a <b>blog</b>. There are no globally acknowledged guidelines that need to be followed for video-game reviews. Certainly no character limit. Whether it's two or two-thousand lines, the author is free to elaborate as much as they want. <br><br>All the time you spent criticizing the length of the review could of been put to better use, i.e, actually reading the post. It's sad that you'd go through all the trouble of arguing about not reading the review. It's too long for you, drop the attitude, find something more constructive to do with your time and move along. You rendered your opinion moot the moment you posted "tl;dr". There's a difference between constructive criticism and pointing out that you didn't bother.<br><br>The Author has done a great job writing this piece. I can write down a few bullets as to why it's such a great review, but I would rather spare you another long read.

Don't flatter yourself, I have the attention span to read the review. I'm just saying that usually reviews on most blogs aren't this ridiculously long. Is it really that hard for anyone associated with PSnation to ever take criticism?

You are the moron clicking the link to a text review. Don't have the attention span to *read text* then just keep listening to the podcast, chuckles.

I suppose you're right. However, I'd rather simply get the point across with tl;dr instead of type a wall of text, like I'm accusing this article of doing. You know, avoiding that whole pot/kettle thing!

Well aware what it means, it's just something I'd think is more fitting for a snide forum post, not commenting on someone's review. At least you didn't try for a "First!" so I suppose that's something. :-p
