That is a fantastic point! I didn't think of that and after I read this I knew exactly where you were coming from. MGS4 looks good but not quite as good as what FF13 is looking like. Uncharted 2 however is a totally different ball game. That looks great at ALL times.

I'm actually liking what I am seeing in some of these new pictures for FF13 though: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/finalfantasy/...

And you have to admit, Dissidia Final Fantasy looked great on the PSP.

Another good one is Polyphony Digital. They take a lot of time out just making the car look good. At times it looks real.

PS: How is the framerate?

Thats one of my bigest worries, having scene the trailer where they walk in the streets with their kids, i noticed it had bad frame hicups…. hope to be smoothed out in the Master version.

I wouldnt put square enix so high on the quality aspect… i usually find their character models not anywhere close to their CG scenes, and their CG has weird moments; like characters not looking the same within the same scene or having a too close relation to anime type features… some CGI scenes from like FFX or even FF13 looks incredibly real in some parts but totally different in some. A better comparison would be between Heavy Rain and maybe MGS4 or Uncharted 2. FF models dont have any “personallity” in their faces, except for the basic “tones” that apeals more to the Japanese culture. Heavy Rain may not “seem” real but can get pretty damn close at times…

Oh and Torgo, the Preview from Joystiq said the Voice Acting was horrible… when you planning on puting up video of a scene to let me hear for myself?

I think that you'd be surprised. Wait until some videos are allowed for release. That picture you posted is actually a loading screen too.

The visuals, while having a lot of detail, dont look “real.” This is probably the best one I have seen: http://www.psnation.org/wp-content/uploads/2009...

I think that Square does a better job. The only one that maybe does better then them is PIXAR. Looks like a GREAT story though. Which is perfectly enough to keep me interested in a game. Good preview!

So it sounds a lot like Indigo to me, but more advanced. Sweet I loved Indigo and when playing that game said to myself imagine what they could due with more power and looks like that is Heavy Rain.
